Part of me will always be in Florence.

Studying abroad In Florence Italy is where everything in my life changed, and truly where I found myself, and pure happiness. That semester became my favorite because it was the first time I really felt like I was discovering who I am not just as a student, but as a creative person.

Friendships that last a lifetime, and nights to remember.

Being surrounded by a new environment made me realize that creativity isn’t limited to designers’ studios or runway shows it’s everywhere. In the way people dress, the colors and textures around the city, even in the way everyday life unfolds. As a fashion merchandising major, it opened my eyes to how trends, style, and culture intersect in ways I had never noticed before. It also reminded me that people are more alike than different our shared experiences and connections are what truly inspire creativity. We all want to be heard, we all want to feel love.

Fashion isn’t just about clothing it’s about connection, culture, and the way we express ourselves. Studying abroad helped me find my voice as a future fashion professional and gave me a deeper appreciation for the art and creativity that exist everywhere you look.

My love for Florence and having the privilege to travel across Europe taught me to take every moment and every interaction with gratitude. I fell in love with life itself, I fell in love with the connections I made and learned to love myself.
